Hani Assi is a British strength & conditioning coach, high-performance practitioner, and founder of AXP — Assi X Performance. With a career spanning elite sport, rehabilitation, testing and education, he has built a reputation for helping athletes and teams improve performance while bridging the gap between rehabilitation and return to competition.
He has worked across Olympic and Paralympic programmes, national teams, professional basketball, rugby league and combat sports in the UK, Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East, with a particular interest in ACL rehabilitation and long-term athlete development. Alongside the applied work he educates and mentors coaches, and through AXP brings coaching, return-to-performance support, testing and education into one clear pathway.
Optimise. Perform. Dominate.

Hani represented the Lebanese national rugby team internationally and played semi-professionally in the UK, and he is an avid martial arts enthusiast. The lessons of contact, fatigue and pressure run through his coaching: Lead S&C for Basketball England, Al-Qadsiah and Al Nassr in the Saudi Women’s Basketball League, Saudi Arabia’s men’s national basketball team at the Hangzhou Asian Games, the Saudi Paralympic team at Paris 2024, Head of S&C at Mike Tyson Boxing Club in Riyadh, and professional boxers including world champion Hamzah Sheeraz. He teaches the method in workshops across Asia.
